As the title implies, I had a bad case of the munchies today. All I wanted to do was eat! I kinda gave into eat, then I realized how much my mentality has changed in the few short weeks that I have gotten back on the "health train."
My munchies involved eating about 20 baby carrots and 3 mini Snickers bars. In the past, I would have had about a liter of Coke, a couple bags of candy, and a double serving of fast food. It has been 2 weeks now since I had any fast food and it is starting to be hard again. I really enjoy Panda Express and used to get a 2-3 item combo with a large drink every week or so. I talked to Vasily about it, and we decided that after the wedding, when we aren't sworn off fast food anymore, that we can share a 2 item combo. Then we 1. get to eat the food we want 2. save money 3. eat only a serving size and keep the calories in check. I am really looking forward to April 13th, the day after my wedding. I will likely go NUTSO with junk food that day just to satisfy all the cravings I'll have had in the month leading up to my wedding.
I was looking through my wedding stuff and found my measurements as of 2/7/2012. I am really glad because now I have an idea of where I was and my progress in the past month. The lady who fitted my dress also told me that if I lose about 5 lbs. or around and inch that my dress will fit flawlessly. I am really hoping all the work pays off and that that's the case!
I like all this healthy living, it makes me look forward to weekly weigh ins instead of dreading them. Sunday can't come fast enough! I do need to be more conscious of my calories though because my body has been a bit achy and I think it's a protein/calorie deficiency. It doesn't help that the day I realize this is the day before I need to get blood work done after having fasted for 12 hours. Grrrr, but all shall be well after about 5 tomorrow. I will probably extend my food cut off time to 9 just so I have some extra time to get some food in me.
