WOOOOO HOOO!

Success!

I took my own advice and swore off fast food this week. It was REALLY difficult because my sisters came to visit and we ordered pizza. I resisted (twice as there were left overs) and opted for a PB&J with far fewer calories.

We also went out to breakfast on Saturday morning. I got scrambled eggs, bacon, and cottage cheese with water to drink. It was difficult to resist ordering hash browns, some of my favorite breakfast food, and french toast, but I did and I felt very satisfied for a long while after consuming so much yummy protein.

The last few days, I've tried zig-zagging my calories. What that basically means is that one day I eat my recommended number of calories, and the next I go lower. I did this back and forth since about Thursday. Apparently, it tricks your body into developing a new basal metabolic rate by constantly changing the number of calories you consume every day. If this week is any indication, it works!

I tried on pants that have been snug on me since I bought them and they are actually baggy! My muffin top is all but gone, and my face is starting to look a lot thinner. I loathe counting calories, I loathe not being able to go crazy with food, but do I ever love feeling good.

This is the first time in a long time that I have looked at myself naked and thought, "Dayum gurl!" I am really proud of how far I have come and am looking forward to continuing with my healthy lifestyle.

It has been a it tough keeping up with my lifestyle change since after the wedding. I had such a clear reason to do it before and after I fit into my dress, I lost that. Now, I have a honeymoon in Hawaii to look forward to as well as going back to the body I had three years ago where everything looked good on me. I seriously have not been this thin in about three years and it feels SO good to have earned this body back!
