Juice Cleanse Day 1.5

I started the juice cleanse last night after having an apple for breakfast and salad with avocado for lunch. Normally, dinner is where I get a lot of my calories, so it was a bit hard going from a 500 calorie meal to a 130 calorie juice. I drank lots of water, had some tea, and went to bed.

I woke up this morning feeling AWESOME! I still feel a bit heavy in my lower abdomen, but the rest of my body feels and looks great. I have no bloating and I think the juice is a nice break on my sub-par digestive system. I am hungry, but after drinking the juices, I have no appetite. The one I had for dinner last night and for breakfast today has a lot of beets in it, so it have a very strong and earthy taste that is almost nauseating and makes me want to drink a ton of water.

Right now, every food sounds like it would be the most delicious thing to eat in the history of food, so I am hoping I don't go crazy after the cleanse is over (eat all the food!) I am also thinking that a lot of the reasons that people lose so much weight doing this cleanse is that they just aren't eating very many calories. I usually eat between 1500-1700 calories a day, and in a day of the juice cleanse, I'll consume 1,000 at the most. That worries me because I don't want this to be a crash diet.

But, so far so good. I feel great and am excited to see the results of this jump start to a healthy 2013.
