Progress_169

I had my second personal training session today. Thank god we worked on weights and cables because I machines kicked my ass last week. I really like my trainer and I think that will keep me coming back to the gym. He's putting the work into me and I don't want to disappoint. He is really impressed with my eating habits. He told me that those combined with my overall muscle tone will change my body composition pretty quickly. He thinks my arms and back will come in first followed shortly by my legs and finally by my abs.

I've bee using MyFitnessPal religiously and it's working pretty well for me. I like that I can keep track of multiple measurements. I've already lost a few inches and in a single week, I've gone from 175.2 to 169. Not too shabby. I know a lot of that is just from cutting out fast food and soda and I am happy I saw these results because it will remind me why I shouldn't go back to that lifestyle.

I hope to continue seeing these type of results. I'd like to get to 150, but I don't know if I'll actually get there. I was at 147 after my honeymoon, but I was only calorie counting and doing sit ups. After I got back, I started bike riding a lot and stopped calorie counting and my weight went up to about 163. I don't know how much of that was from the eating and how much was from muscle. I'm going to try to just pay attention to how I look and not the number on the scale. I'm eating about 1200 calories a day in an effort to lose 2 lbs per week, which is the most you can lose safely.

My hope is to be at my goal weight by mid September which will be 10 weeks from now. It's killing me that it will take that long, but I am trying to appreciate the progress and not get bogged down in the time frame.
