154.4

I went up just a bit this week and I really am okay with that. I am adjusting to some new medication and I am pretty sure that's what it is. Though, to be fair, I indulged in junk food a few times this week which I am sure contributed to the gain. Additionally, it had been hot and I retain water like CRAZY!

Essentially, the number on the scale went up, but my self-esteem hasn't gone down. It is nice to know that I can deal with minor setbacks and not get entirely derailed :-)

I went to the movies today and continued with my healthy eating. I brought in air popped popcorn from home which is only 20 calories per cup. It satisfies the crunch and hand to mouth craving I get at the movies without filling me up with the ridiculous number of calories in movie popcorn.

I also brought in a Fuze Slenderize. Those have become my new best friends! They have a yummy flavor to them, but on 15-20 calories per bottle. I am allergic to the artificial sweetener aspartame, but these are sweetened with sucralose so I can drink away.

Finally, I brought in one of the candy kabobs from my wedding which packed in a lot of calories, but I am okay with that. Essentially, I am proud of having reprogrammed the part of my mind that demands a riduculous number of calories to enjoy a movie.

I am hoping to be 153.5-152 by next week so I will go back to my strict calorie counting and avoid the salty, fatty goodness of fast food.
