I went to happy hour with co-workers today. I was hesitant because happy hour is bout alcohol and high calorie finger foods, but my husband offered some words of wisdom, "Don't let calorie counting keep you from fun with your friends." So, I didn't! Instead, I practiced portion control and a LOT of self control. I had one drink and fried asparagus. All in all, about 600 calories which was just dandy as I had 900+ calories left for the day and I was so full I just counted it as dinner. Not bad!
We also go Spring Pictures today. I have professional evidence of my transformation! Here is what I looked like in August and what I looked like in April.

I realize they are different styles of photos, but my face is the first place I gain weight, and the last place I lose it and my face looks considerably thinner (to me at least :) It is really encouraging!
I also go *fanfare* MY WEDDING PHOTOS! Here is one of my favorites where I look so gorgeous that I don't even believe it's me!
Here's to many more years of a healthy life style and moderation. I can hardly wait for Sunday's weigh-in!
