Paleo Day 3

Quick set of the scene: I'm snacking on turkey. Yep, no chips for this cavegirl, just MEAT!

Thank GOD I am past the withdrawal headaches. Happily, I'm not having a lot of sugar cravings, but I do really want cheese...and bread...mostly I miss pizza and coffee. I'm glad I stopped drinking soda for a month before doing this and then intermittently giving up fast food because it's been a lot easier transitioning. I imagine that it would have been ridiculously difficult to give up all that stuff at the same time.

I found out someone at work also does Paleo so it was nice to bounce ideas off of a real live person who has actually done it.

I'm feeling slimmer and more confident already. I think I carried a lot of bloat from wheat as well as from a mild lactose intolerance so it's nice to see and feel results already after only 3 days. I snuck a weigh in and I'm down 2.5 lbs in just 3 days. That sounds shocking, but considering that I would eat a lot of processed and fast food, it doesn't surprise me. I am really excited be be down some weight already and just can't wait to see what the rest of this challenge brings!
