I caved and bought lunch today. Now that I am watching what I eat, I literally obsess about food. Because I can't have it, I always want it and that's made this really difficult. I ate my left over Mongolian BBQ as a snack because it sounded SO GOOD at the moment, then bought a cheese quesadilla because that also sounded delicious. The BBQ was great, not so much the quesadilla, but I don't regret it. I felt bad at the time, but I found it very satisfying.
I also splurged and had some Easter candy, only 3 pieces (go will power!) and I gave a while bunch of it away, so I am again quite proud of myself.
I am bummed that I won't be working out tonight, especially because I'm not even half as sore as I was yesterday, but my knee was so painful last night, I had to take sleeping meds and pain pills to be able to get to sleep. A lot of the exercises involve standing with legs apart and knees bent while moving the abdomen back and forth and I think the stress of being the stability of my body might be doing some negatives to my knee. So rest I shall tonight, but if I have the same problem again, I'll go back to the workout knowing that the pain is just part of my healing.
163! Finally, some progress. This might just be because I didn't have dinner (I had an eventful evening and the adrenaline destroyed my appetite) but even so, it is so encouraging! I think a lot of it also had to do with the fact that I drank about 100 oz. of water today. This curbed my appetite, even though it didn't take away the cravings.
Tonight, I am going to watch a movie and strive not to eat any candy whilst doing so. I just LOVE to munch during movies, but I know that's when I really binge and that's not good for me. I'm noticing that unnaturally sweet things like soda and candy don't taste as good anymore. I find them a bit too sweet and almost sickening in the right quantities. I take this as a sign that my body likes what I've been giving it and wants me to keep it up :)
