Another awesome weigh in. Granted, this is the result of two weeks of my new lifestyle, but one of those weeks was the week of my wedding. I was in Southern California with my family and we LOVE to eat out. It was also Easter and my family as well as my students gave me a lot of sweets. I am really proud of resisting the urge to over eat as well as resisting falling back into grazing all day and not eating healthy food.
I did not work out, and I did not count calories using my app, I just self-monitored what I was eating and estimated what I should and shouldn't eat in terms of calories. I did drink a lot of soda, which I am trying to stay away from, but I don't normally keep it around the house these days, so as soon as the wedding leftovers are gone, so will the soda.
I like that this is less of a chore and more my life. I don't feel like I'm on a diet, I don't feel restricted, and I don't feel hungry. I eat what I want in reasonable portions and make better choices about when to eat sometimes food.
I thought I would go back to eating out and grazing after the wedding, but I really like this new healthy me and I am going to keep striving for my goal weight.
On a side note, in the middle of March, my wedding dress barely zipped. In the middle of April (roughly 4.5 weeks later) my size 10 wedding dress was easily zipped and I had to pull it up a bit throughout the evening.
Here's to needing new clothes this summer!
I don't need to eat huge amounts of the food I like. I can eat what I want and still be thin if I exercise discretion and I love it!
