After the episode was over, I decided that I would go for an hour and see how far I could go. An hour later, I'd gone 15.1 miles. I was dripping sweat like I never have before and I was exhausted, but I am feeling really empowered!
So far, I've gone 85 miles this year. I might just kick my butt again tomorrow and get it to an even 100! I'm also semi hoping that I'll get back on the bike and maybe do 5 more miles today so I can shade in another square on my progress. I'm worried that it's already 10 days to the end of the month and I am not even close to where I need to be to meet my goal. BUT, I won't let that discourage me, I plan to do my best and just see what happens.
My digestive issues seem to be resolving themselves and that feels good. I am finally at 171, so perhaps the plateau is broken. I might just be at a new plateau or it might just be temporary progress. Either way, it's what I needed to keep going. Today marks 2 weeks that I have been calorie counting and I've lost almost 4 lbs. Big picture, that's a big deal, but I've been really annoyed by my lack of weight loss since the initial dip. MyFitnessPal claimed I'd be at 166 in 5 weeks, meaning I'd lose 5 lbs. in the next 3 weeks.
We'll see, but for now I'm feeling good :)
I still look at my stomach and think "doughy," but I am making strides in the right direction.
