Plateau : 171.8

I have been calorie counting for 11 days, and have only had one epic cheat day. After that, I didn't feel the need to go over calories by that much, and most days I am under my calorie goals. I am biking at least 10 minutes every day to get my heart rate going and have been very conscious of my food choices.

With all that work, I've noticed my jeans fit better, but I am still stuck at 171.8. I know there's fat vs. muscle but it's still a little frustrating. I am going to really try to only weigh in once a week. My worry about that is that if I go an entire week and don't lose at least a pound, I'll get really discouraged.

I have the week off, so I am going to really push myself to go 10+ miles a day on my bike and do my sit ups. I've gone 70 miles so far, but that's not nearly enough to meet my goal. I have the whole summer off and in the warmer months I'm more likely to get on  my real bike, but I don't want to use that as an excuse not to work out now.

I've also been really constipated lately which I think has contributed to the apparent plateau. I am hoping that by adding fiber and some probiotics that I'll get back on track and just feel better.

A friend of mine who knows I am working hard to be healthier said some really kind things about noticing I'm looking better and how my hard work is paying off. It was really rewarding to hear that and to know that someone had noticed, and taken the time to tell me.

So, even though I'm a bit discouraged, I'm going to make it inspire me to do better!
