Dress Test

They say getting healthy is more about losing inches, gaining muscle, and how your clothes fit. You may remember that I am pretty obsessed with fitting into my wedding dress. It's my accountability so I don't let myself go over the years. Well, today I've been calorie counting for 4 weeks, so I decided it was time to see if I fit.

TA-DA! It fiiiiiits! It's still a teensy bit snug (as seen from the back) but it zips up no problem and I have every confidence it will just start looking better and better as I continue on in this new lifestyle.

I still plan to take update pictures in my wedding dress, but in the meantime, I've decided I need another dress to aspire to fit into.

Enter random size 10 bridesmaid dress I bought for $5 at the thrift store.
I like the color and the style and plan to wear it to my sister's wedding in October. The zipper will go together, bit it's still too tight to do so comfortably. So this is my next goal dress. I'm thinking I'll fit it in another 5 pounds or so.

Now, I felt like I was on a roll, so I got out my "I'm too fat for these clothes" bag and got out my size 6 jeans.

I'm still spilling out and the zipper is begging to come undone, but they are no longer painful to wear like they were last summer. The slacks are still Cameltoeville, but in the next 5 weeks I should be fitting into them better.

MyFitnessPal says I'll be 160 in the next 5 weeks, which would be really cool to have lost all the weight I want to in  only 9 weeks. I'm going to keep working hard in the hopes of getting there ASAP so I can even out my calories and focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle even when I'm not actively trying to lose weight.

I'm going for 160 in my New Year's Resolution, but to get to 150 (wedding weight) would be really amazing... Again, we'll just see how it all goes :) I'm happy with the way things are now.
