Two Weeks of Soda Sober

Well, I've made it two weeks. The first few days were the worst, and I still get cravings, but not so much. I even resisted all you can drink Dr. Pepper at a wedding last week and was SO impressed with myself. However, when looking at pictures from the wedding, I was less impressed...

Ah yes, the handsome groom, the GORGEOUS bride, my dashing husband, and MY BELLY! You can literally see the roundness and the indentation of my belly button. This is the same dress as the red one I want that is motivating me to stay away from soda. Now, looking at this you might think it's not that bad, and it's not, until you consider that a year and a half ago, I looked like this.
Oh how I miss those flat, perfectly toned abs and the legs that didn't rub together. All I had to do to get here was stop soda, limit my intake of fast food, and do 300 sit ups a night. Seriously, that's all. I stayed away from sweetened beverages, ate clean, and worked out and I got amazing results.

I come up with all sorts of excuses why I don't do this now, but there is no excuse. I'm just too lazy and don't have the motivation. Well, now I do. I've seen the way I look in my dream dress, which I am half way to getting! I plan to wear the dress for Christmas this year. My husband's company throws a fancy Christmas party and I want to look AMAZING!

My obsession with my looks might sound vain, but a lot of it has to do with how I reflect on my husband. I want people to be like, "Dayuuuum, he lucked out!" I want to look good to make him look good. I also want to look good so when I look in the mirror, I think, "Yep, that's nice" versus "UGH"

So, I am adding onto the challenge. From now until the end of my soda challenge, no more fast food AND 1,000 sit ups/week (no less than 100/weeknight). I am hoping with that, I will see even better results and be inspired to make a lifestyle change like I did for almost a year in 2012.

Here's hoping!
