Ta-ta double chin!

I really notice when I lose or gain weight when I see it in my face. I already have rather round and substantial cheeks, so when I gain 5-10 lbs. they get really out of control. I was also "blessed" with a weak chin, so the slightest weigh gain will double it! I remember sitting in my bed and looking down towards my chest and feeling my sternum squishing my double chin. NOPE! So I started changing my lifestyle.

Last night, I noticed my double chin is gone. I've lost 6 lbs. in 3 weeks in a lifestyle I feel is really sustainable. I am excited to see other changes too.

Since I gained weight, a lot of it in my hips and thighs, I don't fit into my work slacks comfortably anymore. Basically, that means it's a skirt, dress, or the size 8 jeans I finally broke down and bought when my 6's got painful to wear. I'm already noticing that my jeans aren't as snug at the hips and I am really looking forward to getting back into my slacks and smaller jeans.

It's times like these when I am just really meh about working on myself that I see the difference it makes and get a renewed sense of purpose to keep going.

Plus it's not raining today so I can ride my real bike :)
