Still not feeling great. When I'm sick, all I want to do is curl up in bed with some fast food and Netflix. And you know what? Today, that's exactly what I did. 1600 calories and 2 hours of reality TV later, I was actually feeling much better.
I decided to hop on the stationary for a little bit just to get my blood pumping. After I got past the first 10 minutes, it actually wasn't that bad, so I figured I'd do a bit more. I ended up going 10 miles so I'm now getting on track nicely.
I've come to accept that I won't really be on track for my goals until the summer. The weather has been horrible which doesn't allow for regular bike riding. If I don't ride my bike to work, I'm much less likely to make good choices throughout the day, like eating a while box of sugar cookies at recess.
That being said, I'm happy to be making the progress I am. It just hit me today that I'm half way to my weight loss goal. I usually lose about 5 lbs. in the first week, so this time I've been a bit annoyed at how slowly the weight has been coming off. Then I thought about it and realized that the slower I lose the weight, the longer it will stay off. I really feel like this is a sustainable life change. I don't mind counting calories, in fact I rather enjoy logging them. I don't like restricting them, but as I get closer to my goal weight I'll be able to increase my daily intake and stabilize my calories and my weight.
